Opportunities to Learn Outside the Classroom

Internships — Students are encouraged to actively pursue internship opportunities through Career Services and various job searching platforms. In recent years our students spent their summers working at companies such as Honda, Huntington National Bank, Target, Graham Packaging Company, Amazon and Holman Motors.

Integrated Business Core (IBC) — Recognized by The Washington Post, this two-semester program allows students to integrate classroom learning with practical business experience. As part of a team, you’ll develop a business plan, obtain financing, market and sell a product, and donate your profits to a local charity.

Student Organizations — Students can choose to participate in business-related student organizations:

  • Student Leadership Team (SLT) — The SLT serves the School of Business Administration by building community among students and faculty, fostering relationships, and planning and executing events and programs.
  • Women in Business — Women in Business is an organization dedicated to helping women in professions learn more about reaching goals in careers, at home, and in service.

Professional Organizations — Students can participate in professional organizations that give real-word exposure to business.

Building on your core liberal arts and Bible minor courses, you will take core business and management courses.

  • DPAIC and Border Patrol Chaplain Jerami Cheatwood greet the family of a fallen agent during Police Week in Washington DC.

    Bridging Leadership and Compassion on the Border

    Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge Jerami Cheatwood, who earned a degree in management from Cedarville University, began his career with the Border Patrol in 2009. He oversees the operations of 280 agents in an effort to secure the southern border while also ministering as a chaplain within the agency.
